Some locations for Dreadknight666's Ancient Beast by EB-the-GAMER Some locations for Dreadknight666's Ancient Beast by EB-the-GAMER
:icondreadknight666: wanted some ''lair'' sketch designs for his Ancient Beast game. I'm not too good with locations, so forgive me if the designs aren't up to snuff. all the "features" for these rooms are entirely optional, but I Think they'd be neat add ons, so that the lairs aren't purely cosmetic.

-  Twisted Graveyard - sort of a quintessential graveyard-theme, and my favorite. Gravestones litter the  ground, and contort to create the walls of this lair. fog seeps in around its centerpiece, a stone angel. I thought it would be neat to use this room to bring about undead monsters, or it could track one's previous loss/game-over with snarky tombstone engravings.

- Hades Sea Tunnel / Hive Cave - The first lair design I made, notable for its two distinct interpretations, though with a similar premise:

* The first interpretation is a sharp-looking cavern, littered with holes from some kind of insect swarm. as a kind of little detail, those holes can be used as storage for items, and occasionally the bugs that live there with crawl out and go into a different hole). And if not that, maybe this room could have a special monsters to fight when you disturb the holes in certain ways.

* The second is a sort of strange blue tunnel, possibly made of swirling water or bluish-green energy. while one end of the tunnel is the entrance, the other is barred and locked, requiring a special item to open. opening it would unlock a trial/coliseum/boss-rush with "Sinner" spins of monsters (like a Green Gumble named Cid Asi).

- Apothecary - Leaning towards science is this plague Doctor - themed lair, equipment hangs off the walls and lies along the concrete floors, with vapors wafting overhead. mixing in-game objects in this lair can give you a elixir, or a poison, depending on the combination. I was thinking a Plague Doctor monster I made (if possible) would be neat to add as well, but one thing at a time.

- Parasite's Dream - A squirmy, wet-looking place is what I think the Murder Mansion location I came up with earlier would look like without the wallpaper and wood obstructing it. As far as features go this one is pretty light. the eyes follow you, and a random item can be found in one of the Black hollow bones sticking up out of the floor or walls on occasion.

That is the popular opinion. XD

Maybe the two indoor ones could be reworked. The Apothecary could be like an open-ended diorama or shack, and the Parasites Dream could be like a fleshy hole in the ground.

Indeed, anyway, no worries, they're inspiring as they are (but for combat locations).
Will let you know when I publish the list and you can have your swing at specific dwellings.
Don't want to publish it too early as it will be a little unstable and could change quite a bit.
